Welcome. My name is Dawn, the founder of Alba Marie. It is a joy for me to help destination wedding planners in the US and Italy bridge these two cultures.

I am a citizen of the US and Italy and call the beautiful Le Marche, in the heart of Central Italy, my home. This central base positions me perfectly to travel anywhere on the peninsula.

I speak both English and Italian fluently and have spent over 25 years working at the intersection of Italian and American business culture through translation, communications, graphic design and project management for international brands including Brunello Cucinelli and Fabiana Filippi.


Now I put that experience to work for US and Italian wedding and event planners who want to offer their clients something extraordinary in Italy without the headaches of coordinating across an ocean, a time zone, and a language barrier.


I work as an independent consultant, so there is no need to hire me. We can work flexibly, project to project or with an ongoing agreement, without the costs and bureaucracy of an employee relationship.

Pre-Wedding SERVICES

I am not a wedding planner. My goal is to support you in planning. I can handle the research, client vetting, and communication that facilitate your job and increase your income.

Here are some of the ways I can serve you:

  • I can scout and vet venues, vendors, and artisans anywhere in Italy.
  • I can handle all vendor communication in Italian, so you never have to chase down a response or wonder if something was lost in translation.
  • I can review and translate contracts.
  • I can set up client intake funnels and get on Zoom calls with potential clients to vet whether they are a good fit for your business, so your valuable time stays protected.
  • I can bridge the cultural gap between American expectations and Italian business practices.
  • I can write social media posts, press releases, specialized guides, and other marketing materials in natural American English to attract the right clientele.
  • I can create beautiful invitation suites and day-of stationery, working with printers in the US and Italy. I have been designing stationery for years and have a system that makes it possible to create gorgeous stationery at much more affordable prices.
  • I can help with the specific requirements of planning a Catholic wedding, since I have served many Catholic clients in my years designing invitations and wedding ceremony programs.

Pricing varies by the service provided, but I can work with you within the constraints of your budget. If you have needs that are not on the list above, please reach out and let’s have a chat about it.

Wedding WEEK and day-of SERVICES

My wedding week and day-of services allow your coordinator to focus on running the event while I take care of the people, acting as a dedicated, on-site bilingual concierge for the couple and their guests. I ensure no one feels lost, confused, or unable to communicate by interpreting real-time between guests and Italian staff and vendors.

I can also handle last-minute needs as they come up. Did the bride forget her lipstick back at the room? Does the groom have a headache and need aspirin? Does the mother-of-the-bride need a snack from the supermarket in the village down the road? Let me run for it. I am also happy to transport the bride and groom and wedding party in a golf cart, car or other vehicle to ensure they get where they need to go safely and on time.

In addition, I can help with set up and breakdown of the pre-wedding and wedding day events.

I charge a day rate for these services and require accommodation and meals if required to stay overnight.

Business and corporate event planning

If you are a business or corporate event planner working in Italy, I can also help you with the same services and skills that I offer for destination weddings.

  • I can scout and vet venues and vendors anywhere in Italy.
  • I can handle all vendor communication in Italian and English, sending emails and making phone calls during local business hours in Italy when managers and staff are available.
  • I can review and translate contracts.
  • I can ensure that you get the responses you need within the required time schedule.
  • I can write or edit social media posts, press releases, specialized e-books and white papers, and other marketing materials in natural American or international English and have them translated into Italian.
  • I can create signage (banners, posters), takeaway materials (brochures, flyers, business cards), and functional items (name badges, programs, menus).
